Check your internet connection
The vast majority of connection issues are caused by a weak internet connection.
You can check your connection by running a speed test. To do this, please go to Google, search speed test and then click the blue RUN SPEED TEST button.
Check for platform network outages
Sometimes connection problems can be caused by platform network outages. If your connection is suddenly not available, check to see if your platform has had an outage.
PlayStation Network status: https://status.playstation.com/.
Xbox Network status: https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-live-status.
Check your distance from other players
Multiplayer
If you're trying to play multiplayer and your game has Multiplayer Regional Matchmaking, check that you have selected a region that matches where you are playing from.
Co-op
If you're trying to play co-op, check your internet connection against the connection of the player(s) you are trying to play with and the geographical distance between you.

PC Platforms
Check your PC has run all available updates
Online play can be impacted by your PC running an out of date version of Windows so please ensure your PC has the latest updates.
Check your firewall
Sometimes your firewall can unexpectedly block your connection. Please make sure that the game has been added as an exception, and, if this is unsuccessful, try playing with your firewall temporarily disabled.
Verify your game files

PlayStation
Check your console has run all available updates
Online play can be impacted by your console's software being out of date. To check if your console needs an update, go to Settings > System > Select System Software > System Software Update and Settings.
If an update is available Update Available will appear and you can select Update System Software to update.
Please also ensure you are running the latest version of the game. You can check this by scrolling to the game on your console homepage, pressing the menu button and selecting Check for updates.
Check your PlayStation Plus subscription
A PlayStation Plus (PS+) subscription is required to play online. Please check that your subscription is still active.

Restore your license for the PlayStation Network
Issues with playing online can sometimes be caused by a problem with your connection to the PlayStation Network (PSN). To check and restore your connection to the network, log into your PSN Account, go to Settings > PlayStation Network/Account Management and select Restore Licenses.
Xbox
Check your console has run all available updates
Online play can be impacted by your Xbox's software being out of date. To check if your console needs an update, go to Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates. If an update is available, the Console update available option will appear. Select this to update.
Please also ensure you are running the latest version of the game. You can check this by scrolling to the game on your console homepage, pressing the menu button and going to Manage game and add-ons > Updates. Available updates can be installed on this page.
Check your Xbox Game Pass subscription
To play online, an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or Xbox Game Pass Core subscription is required. Please check that your subscription is still active.

Check your console is connected to the internet
Sometimes, despite a strong internet connection, consoles can have problems connecting to the internet. To check your console's connection, go to the home menu (by pressing the Xbox button on your controller), select Profile & System > Settings > General > Network Settings. Then check that your console is connected to the network, and select Test network connection.
Check your NAT type and follow Xbox's NAT troubleshooting tips
If you're having trouble playing games online at all, it may be that there is an issue with your NAT type.
