Sometimes this error appears when the game is either not running on the correct graphics card, or your system does not meet the required minimum specifications. It can also occasionally be shown in error.

Check that the game is using your dedicated graphics hardware rather than internal graphics
Applies only to Nvidia graphic card users
If you experience graphical issues, or occasional game crashes, it could be that your system is using the wrong hardware.
If you are using a NVIDIA graphics card, the steps to check what hardware the game is using is below
- First, open the Nvidia Control Panel. One way to do that is right-clicking on an empty space on the desktop and choosing Nvidia Control Panel from the menu.
- Navigate to 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings.
- Open the tab Program Settings and choose the game from the dropdown menu.
- Next, select the preferred graphics processor for this program from the second dropdown. Your Nvidia GPU should show as High performance Nvidia processor. (Shown here for Snipe Elite 5)
Try running the game using Vulkan
If you are still seeing the error, please try running the game with the Vulkan Rendering API in this situation.
To do this, go to the Settings menu in the Sniper Elite 5 Launcher.
Under Rendering API select Vulkan, and then click OK.
