Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior offers a range of comfort and accessibility settings. These include settings that can be adjusted individually, and comfort presets.
What are comfort presets and what presets does the game offer?
Comfort presets are groups of preset settings. They are designed to make it easier to choose the right settings for you.
Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior offers three preset comfort options that will appear when you start the game for the first time.
Max Comfort - Teleport movement and snap turning with all comfort assists turned on. We recommend this for players who experience nausea when playing VR games.
Moderate - Free movement and snap turning with all comfort assists turned on.
Intense - Free movement and smooth turning with all comfort assists off
What do these comfort preset options do?
The game's presets focus on three settings: movement, turning and comfort assists. Each of these options can also be adjusted individually in the Options menu.
Movement
Teleport Movement (Max Comfort, Moderate) - use the controller to 'teleport' to where you want to go.
Players using teleport movement cast an arc to select a place to teleport to and then, when releasing the button, 'blink' towards that location in a fast-linear movement.
Free Movement (Intense) - use the analog sticks to move around
Players using the analog sticks can move forwards, backwards, side to side and rotate themselves using the other analog stick. Players can also Sprint.
The way you move in VR can greatly affect your comfort in the game. If you feel motion sick from virtual reality, we recommend choosing Teleport Movement as this helps to reduce the feeling that you are moving but your body isn't.
Turning or Rotation
Snap Turning (Max Comfort, Moderate) - incrementally turn at 15, 45 or 90 degrees
Smooth Turning (Intense) - turn freely with some motion blur for comfort
Turning in VR can have a huge effect on your stomach! If VR makes you nauseous, we would recommend Snap Turning as this helps with motion sickness.
Comfort Assists
Comfort assists refers specifically to vignette strength and kill cam. These are explained in detail below.
All comfort assists (Max Comfort, Moderate) - medium (default) vignette strength and kill cam stops before bullet impact
All comfort assists off (Intense) - no vignette effect and full kill cam

Vignettes
Vignettes are filters that create a tunnel effect. This can make the game more comfortable to play and help to reduce motion sickness. In Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior, you can adjust the frequency that vignettes appear and the intensity of the effect. You can also completely turn it off if you prefer.

Watching the signature Sniper Elite kill cam can be more intense in VR. With this in mind, in Sniper Elite VR: Winter Warrior, you can adjust the kill cam to just show the path of the bullet without the impact, alter the frequency that it appears, or turn it off completely.
