Why is this happening?

This issue is caused by the Steam overlay playing the Kraken Awakes DLC trailer when Sniper Elite 5 is launched.

Although players may not have the overlay open, it will continue to play the trailer audio.

How do I stop the audio from playing?

Check the Steam Overlay in-game browser for tabs playing audio

1. Launch Sniper Elite 5 in Steam
2. Press SHIFT+TAB to open the Steam Overlay
3. Check for any open browser sites within the Steam Overlay that may be the source of the audio and close them

If no browser tabs can be found, then please try deleting your Steam browser data. To do this:

1. Open Steam
2. Click the Steam tab in the top-left corner
3. Click Settings
4. Select In Game in the side menu
5. Find Delete Web Browser Data and select Delete
